I am a photographic artist who was born in Mount Gambier, South Australia, lived and worked in British Columbia, Canada for 13 years and now lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. I have worked in the museum and heritage sectors for 20 years, owned several little antique shops and market stalls, and an interior decorating business and retail shop. In 2018 it was time for a change so I decided that photography was going to be my new career. That is when I discovered still life photography, and it was like all of my past lives had collided. I love it.
As an artist, I love to explore photography's complicity in how society uses images as a construct to create memories, spaces and stories - real and imagined.
